My name is Christopher and I have been using GNU/Linux since the late nineties.
My passion for GNU/Linux first began when my father brought home a copy of Red Hat 5.0 because he had grown tired of Microsoft Windows and wanted to try something different.
I have always enjoyed using the command line so I immediately began playing around with the operating system. Unfortunately, my father quickly returned to Windows because he wanted something that "just worked".
I dabbled off and on with GNU/Linux after that until I purchased Mandrake 7.2 and completely converted over to GNU/Linux in 2000. I also developed my love for *box window managers during this time as well and I became a happy blackbox user.
As time went on and my experience with GNU/Linux increased, I eventually migrated over to Fedora CORE, Debian, Slackware, and then finally settled on Arch Linux. At some point during my transition from Fedora I discovered Openbox and I have been using it ever since.
All of my computers (aside from my apple machines) run either Slackware 12.0 or Arch Linux.
If you are interested you can view detailed specifications for all of my computers and view various configuration files for my main system.
